~The Butterfly~ With its delicate wings adorned in an array of vibrant colours and intricate patterns, epitomises the beauty of transformation and grace in nature. Each wing, a masterpiece of evolution, captures light in a dance of hues, inspiring awe and wonder as it flits among flowers, a symbol of resilience and ephemeral beauty. Much of my work’s subjects are nature based. Flowers, birds, butterflies alike, nature provides me with a sense of peace, connection, grounding, earthing and inspiration. Originally this was a one off piece, however I quickly felt the need to create more in various colour ways. “Whispers of Wings II” is an abstract view of a beautiful butterfly, the colours bursting out from its wings as it explores and navigates its environment. Its neon hues blend seamlessly with blue and pink, resulting in a neon explosion of happiness. Using pointillism I created the pattern wings, adding texture and providing movement to the story. Individual or as a group, Whispers of Wings is a vibrant and modern mosaic of colour and pattern.
