30.5cm (W) x 30.5cm (H) x 3.6cm (D) Cut​/​torn upcycled paper collage on stretched canvas. This is a painting made with paper and adhesive rather than paint. The mushroom collaged paper elements have been taken from discarded books, junk mail, packaging, maps and vintage magazines. The background is entirely made from an old cook book. I am drawn to the random nature of collage and combining discarded, unused found materials. Using unrelated elements and mashing them together to create something entirely new. 2 coats of gloss varnish will be applied to protect the artwork. The gloss gives a glassy sheen to the artwork that really brings out the details in this piece. The artwork has a wire at the back, the edges are decorated so it is ready for your wall.
