Hello, I'm Jannah Amy.
Hello, My name is Jannah. I am a mixed media artist based in Biloela, Queensland. I have always been creative. Even as a young child. In Year 12, I decided I wanted to be an artist. After going on a common journey of listening to Naysayers. I ended up working and having art as a hobby. In 2016, I started doodling daily and posting the pictures on Instagram. Inspired by the praise of my drawings. I decided to start hand-making colouring books to sell. They were very successful and I struggled to keep up. Later that year, I had a colouring book published and calling it ‘Daydream’ In 2020, I became a mother and I didn’t have much time to do anything else for a few years. I have finally found inspiration again and I’m working towards becoming a fulltime professional artist. Currently, I’ve been using drawings from ‘Daydream’ to recreate new pieces. My paintings are colourful, maximalist, with a nature inspired theme. I enjoy using different mediums in my art pieces. For example, Artist Acrylics, Gouache, Posca Markers, Hardware Sample Pots and Spray Paint. I plan to keep exploring and develop my own style using an intuitive approach. I am also very interested in sustainability. I source what I can of canvases and materials via my local preowned retailers. I believe we should use what we have before buying new. Plus, to me, there is nothing nicer then starting a new painting on a fresh crisp canvas you’ve just stretched and primed yourself. Heaven!
